My mom brought me a tea rose for Mother's day. Now to figure out where to put it. I hope its warm enough now so I can plant it and not kill it.
My brother in law is coming this weekend. Always something I dread, but I actually have a job for him. He is going to grind the stumps out of my yard from the trees we took down 2 weeks ago. Curt can handle it. This weekend is fishing opener and Dean has state solo ensemble. I can keep myself busy until Nathan leaves.
My bedside lamp came in the mail today. It mounts on the wall and can adjust up and down. Since the ceiling is gabled at the head of my bed, an end table cannot sit there with a lamp on it. This works out perfect. I could only afford one at a time. Curt gets his next pay period. Of course, when you get something new for your room, you have to clean. I have laundry to fold and my sheets to change yet, but I'm almost done.
It swivels side to side and the part where the light screws in adjusts and tilts too as well as up and down. As you can see, the wall is only 3 feet tall so, an end table lamp would not really work. This is kind of stylish and functional at the same time. I like it. I was thinking of getting rid of that headboard completely and painting that one short wall a really cool color. I kind of wanted to get some damask wall paper, but it all seems so expensive. I was thinking of just using the wall as a big long headboard since my bed is centered on it anyway. I'll wait until I find a nice bedding set that I really like and paint around those colors. The comforters I have are old and fit a queen and since I have a king, a bigger set would look nicer and I would benefit from a dust ruffle.
Oh, there was more, but I am so tired and like I said before, my head is killing me. I think I'm just going to fold clothes and change the sheets and snuggle under the blankets. Try this again tomorrow.
