Weed Eaters and Bullets with Corsets

I have been playing around with some things.  I wonder if I would do better selling my stuff if I just settled on one thing and went with it?  Nah.  Boring.  I have ADD, I can't just do 1 thing.

So anyway, I was invited by my husband, via instant messenger 10 feet from my computer to his, to come in the shop and play.  I pulled on my bib overalls and do-rag with full intentions of welding, but was sidetracked when I saw a pile of washers, bolts and nuts destined for the recycle center. Washers.  Hm.
Flat, with some buffing and cleaning, shiny...

Yes.

Necklaces.

Once again I decided to go with being loved, because I need to be reminded sometimes.  I will eventually have to come up with something new.  Something other than "hope" or "wish" or whatever.  

Maybe Ass kicker.  Maybe...weed eater...Ooooo weed eater.  That's edgy and confusing. 

Moving on. 

I have been playing with an idea for my recycled bullet jewelry.  I really wanted to do something new that no one else has done,  that is specifically my own.  So far I really can't afford to get a real copyright; however, I understand that if you take a photograph, date it, with the plans and ideas associated with the design and seal it up in an envelope, then mail the sealed envelope to yourself so it has a postmark on it and then leave it sealed, it is proof that you hold the rights to that design and if anyone should use your idea without permission, you can take it to court armed with the sealed and dated documentation proving that it is yours.  So, that's what I did until I can pay for the real legal stuff.  

I still haven't worked up the nerve to actually post the pieces to sell.  I was selling my other designs online and noticed being in Tophatter and seeing similar designs in the same room as I was trying to sell mine.  It made me a bit upset.  I just want to have my own thing and I worked hard for it.  I don't know.  I have to post to get attention to my store, but it seems the attention just makes me another one of the crowd.  

Maybe I'm selfish.  

Selfish or not, I am trying to keep mine, so hopefully it will work out.  So here is the new design.  A little steam punk, a little Victorian, and a little utilitarian.  

I am calling it Full Metal Corset :)
