Well, my morning started with blowing in a breathalyzer 3 times, calling the sheriff and then my landlord. Now, I will tell my story...
My landlord's son got himself in some trouble a while back and now has a breathalyzer in his car. In order for him or anyone in the house to drive the car, you have to blow this thing correctly, pass and then the car can be started. They brought it over for Curt to fix the power steering pump. Unfortunately, Curt was unable to get it going, so after 3 tries it locks you out for 15 minutes. After the time out, I tried and it kept saying I was blowing too soft and then locked me out too. I ended up calling the police department to see if we could just unhook it. Suck. Nope. in order to unhook it there is a lot of calling and doing. The landlord just brought her son and he started it and gave us lessons. I think we got it. There is blowing, then sucking then blowing with no pause in between. Trust me here, if you were drunk you'd never be able to do it. Way to complicated for sober me, let alone drunk me.
So, dad went back into the hospital this week. He had been having trouble breathing and getting enough air lately finally on Tuesday it had gotten so bad he panicked and started to hyperventilate. He didn't pass out, but he got pretty light headed. So, he finally decided going to the doctor would be a good idea. We were able to get him in the truck, but he as very short of air. I cranked his O2 tank up to 10. He said it helped. evidently there is pneumonia again and fluid retention. I went down to see him on Wednesday and he was dry heaving and pretty lethargic, but the nurses said he had a busy morning and seemed to be just wore out. Mom said he looked really good yesterday and they may send him home tomorrow or Sunday. I am thankful that he actually went in to the doctor before he was too sick. Usually we have to wait until he is delirious before we are able to call the ambulance. He will refuse to go. of course, waiting that long almost kills him. He has come so close so many times. This time he went early. Thank God.
We are trying to get to the cabin for a little deer hunting. Hopefully we will leave tomorrow morning. I know its opening day and all, but there are cars that need to be done before we can go...I think I'm going to make a little thanksgiving supper...maybe chicken or a small ham while were up there. Have a nice supper together while Dean is there with us. He spends too little time with us, I'd like to grab the moment.
