This morning my neighbor passed away after fighting lung cancer for a year. His family are really good people. I wish there was a tasteful way to ask them if I can sing at his funeral.
Also, this morning Curt went with a friend/customer to his customer's mom's house to look at her car. When they got there, our friend found his mom dead as well. The coroner said she had been gone for about 2 hours. It was no less than a huge shock for the whole family and you can about imagine how horrible Curt felt to be there. All my love goes out to both of these families today.
From what I understand, there has been a lot of deaths today. I suppose it happens every day, but 2 so close to home makes for a heavy day in the neighborhood.
I have a heavy hubby today too. It was really hard for him to be with Skippy this morning and he stayed the whole day with the family, both as support for Skip, but also because Skip was his ride. He was very sad when he got home and I am thinking there will be a lot of talking on his part this evening. Poor Curt. Poor Skippy.
Lord, please give these families strength today. Especially Skippy and his family as it was such a shock to them to find their mom had passed so suddenly. Please wrap your arms around them tonight and give them comfort. Please come into their lives and show them that there is no one to blame, that she is with you and healthy and happy. Give Skippy's and George's family the peace they need to rest this night so they can face the days ahead in preparing to bury George and Skippy's mom as it can be such a long and hard process.
Sigh.
Tomorrow is my day off. I really would love to have a nice cool summer day to weld and create something awesome. I should make something for Skippy and George's family too. Food? Any ideas?
Oh dear, so sorry for your losses.
